The general summary of this isn't so much that the Palestinians were going to attack Israel.  That's expected in many ways, given how this is an on and off ongoing thing.  What makes this special is the specificity in how this would come together, and who all is/was behind it.  A lot of what's happening in this prophecy goes along with several other established bible prophecies, such as the invincibility of Israel, worldwide antisemitism, and others.  But those are broader events that span over a longer period of time, whereas this one points at a specific event within that window of prophecy.  Namely, the recent failed attack on Israel by the Palestinians, one where they came in thinking they'd have an easy victory over Israel, and instead got their shorts handed to them.
