In the last days, as the tide of wickedness and evil rises and grows ever more severe, the love of people for their fellow human, their friends, family, even themselves, will grow cold and frozen.  They will be apathetic to the needs and requirements of others, and will stand by and do nothing, both choosing and promoting their own desires, interests and themselves above all others.
