The False Prophet will be a religious leader who rises up in the last days, likely a pope or other important religious figure, who will unite ALL the world's religions together under one banner and for one purpose: To make everyone, rich or poor, free or slave, worship the Anti-Christ (who will ultimately be directly and personally possessed by Satan himself), and him alone.  He will also call down fire at will on those who do not worship the beast (ie, the AntiChrist) or his image.  At this point it appears that the False Prophet may already be on the scene in the form of the current pope.
