In this particular prophecy, as spoken of by Jesus, it speaks of a time, which was still future at that time, in which Jesus Himself would be rejected of men, but another, who was not specified by name, would come in their own name, and be openly accepted by the people, and treated as a god. This prophecy, curiously enough, has been fulfilled in one form or another throughout history since the time of Christ, by various people from the ancient Roman emperors all the way up to as recently as the Pope himself, each one coming in his own name and being accepted by the same masses who openly reject Christ.
