Hey again everyone!  I just wanted to let all of you know that, due to the current lull in prophecy happening at the moment we're going to be making a few more changes around here.  And I'm not talking about an overall slowdown in prophecy.  That's still going full steam.  But at this point most of it is on cruise control so to speak.  As such, because of that and some life schedule changes, we're stepping away from doing daily proofs updates, as well as the trending tools and graphs for a while.  I will be keeping them around for later re-implementation should the need arise.  However, they will cease to be a part of the main menu until then.

If you guys still want the graphs tool to remain, I can leave that.  But right now the plan is to remove that along with the trending prophecies link as the latter will be useless without continued daily updates, which we're ceasing for the time being.  Graphs though will still work, but will only be good for historical research purposes at this point.  Again, the tools themselves will remain on the site.  Only the quick access menu links will be going away for now, to possibly return at a later date.

Now, on to the second piece of business.  Given the huge amount of updates we've been doing over the past two years, our database has accumulated some 20k prophecy proof entries.  Due to human error, script error, and simple and completely normal internet page deprecation (ie, pages going offline for a variety of reasons) there are quite a few entires in the DB that I know need to be removed.  The job that we'll need done is pretty easy.  It's just a bit time consuming.  What we need therefore is a couple helpers due to the time it'll take to do this.

The job itself, as I said, is really easy.  I still have to write the script for it, but basically what it'll do is give you a list of proof links from a given prophecy and all you have to do is first 1) make sure that the link is still valid (ie, no dead sites, no 404 pages, etc) and 2) that it's relevant to the prophecy.  If need be I can walk you through the basics over the phone.  It'll be super simple.  So if I can get four of you to volunteer to help out, and each of us does at least 100 links a day, this can get done pretty quickly.  Remember, many hands make light work. :)

Anyhow, if anyone is willing to volunteer to help, it'd be greatly appreciated.
