This prophecy speaks of a series of events that will strike Egypt over a period of years causing her eventual destruction. This is unfolding right now, and all the events up through verse 3 have been fulfilled. Verse 4 is next on the docket with verse 5 (the drying of the Nile) already in line to be fulfilled through the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. Egypt will also suffer an ultimate destruction, resulting in an abandonment of 40 years caused by what some believe to be a nuclear attack on the Aswan High Dam resulting in the flooding of all occupied areas of Egypt, and its contamination by radiation.
